I'll look out for you

Yet another beautiful picture based on my fic Dead Connie Society, starring the awesome Meg Griffin and her handsome and hilarious inspirational poetry teacher (and partner in crime, among other things ), Rodney Weaver. In case you forgot or this is the first of my art you've seen, he's a parody of John Keating from Dead Poets Society ([link]), and yes, he's also "played" by Robin Williams. Use your imagination. Anyway, Meg develops a crush on him, and he is willing to protect her at any cost. ANY cost. Yeah, the spoiler's in the title right there, but you should really read the story if you haven't already, it's great (well, there are some jokes I now find pretty stupid or pointless, but on the whole I've gotten good feed back). You can find it in my gallery.

Some of you might wonder why I do so much fic-related art. I hear you, sometimes I do worry I'm alienating a general audience of Family Guy fans with all these pictures of OCs and crossovers... but on the other hand, the subset of Meg fans on DA haven't complained so far, so I don't think I have much to worry about. And anyway, they're just so cute together!
I will warn you that the pic I have planned for next Sunday will be just Rodney, hand-drawn in canon FG style (and hence not looking as handsome as he's supposed to be ), and with a redesign for my still-in-development later parts of the series that DCS started. Why a redesign? Because I feel there's no point in keeping him a parody of just one character forever. And that's all I'm gonna tell you for now! Don't worry, there's lots of other stuff with Meg on its way after that.

Rodney Weaver is... dammit, can you even put an ownership disclaimer on what originated as a parody character? That you're not even planning on profiting from?
