I sketched this out shortly after I did my little "Mork & Mindy go to Seth MacFarlane to try and get back on the air" skit thingy, and I knew that I wanted to finish it up right away, I was that pleased with it. After drawing so much crossover shit and gratuitous self-fanservice, it was refreshing just to draw something simple and cute. (Even if it is in the MacFarlane style... don't worry, I've got stuff in my own style sketched out too!)
To me, Mork & Mindy are the ideal couple, the one that all romances should be compared to; not Romeo & Juliet, not Heathcliffe & Cathrine, definitely NOT Edward & Bella!
No, it's all about an everygirl from Boulder and a one-of-a-kind Orkan. She helped him understand Earth, and he kept her happy with his kindness and of course his humor (ar! ar!) You should really watch the series if you don't know what I'm talking about! I really can't put how great it is in words! I know others have dismissed it as just some dumb 70s crap, but, uh... they suck. End of story!
I've drawn Mork in FG style before, but it was with Meg (crossover crack pairings forever!), and I think it's about time I showed him with his real soulmate. Yes, they'll be in my next FG fanfic... I have big plans for them, ones which might offend some people, but that's Family Guy for you. They'll still be together though, their bond strengthened by the adversity they've faced. I can say no more!
I used the model sheet I screencapped from ebay as a reference (I'm glad that was there or else I'd never have a Mindy reference! They sure gave her hella thick eyebrows though... ). I think I made the eyes a little too big... and Mork's hand too (well, you know what they say about Orkans with big hands!
). And no, I ain't tellin' where Mork's other hand is! 
As always, they suspenders were the hardest part. But I still strived to make them more on-model. This time I not only added the buttons, but also the little metal clips. One of these days I'm gonna draw them 100% correctly... and then never be able to do so again, as usual.
